Aerocompact Launches New Ground-Mounted PV System for Small-Scale Solar Projects
Aerocompact’s solution fills a gap in the market by providing a cost-effective, adaptable mounting system for smaller solar arrays where traditional ground mounts may be too complex or expensive
Austrian PV mounting specialist Aerocompact has introduced a new ground-mounted solar solution designed for small-scale projects and challenging terrains. The COMPACTGROUND GS 10 PLUS is engineered for flexibility, stability, and ease of installation, making it suitable for applications on grass, farmland, sand, gravel, crushed stone, concrete, and even asphalt.
Key Features of the COMPACTGROUND GS 10 PLUS
1. Hybrid Ballast & Soil Nail System
Combines ballasting and soil nails for secure mounting without extensive groundwork.
Offers two nail lengths:
800 mm (frost protection)
450 mm (landfills)
Adjustable ballast trays allow customization based on terrain requirements.
2. Wide Module Compatibility
Supports PV modules with:
Widths: 950 mm to 1,150 mm
Lengths: 1,500 mm to 2,400 mm
Low-profile design, installed just 400 mm above ground.
3. Wind & Snow Load Resistance
Withstands up to 2.4 kN/m² in wind and snow loads.
Tilt angles:
5° (without ground nails)
5°–10° (with nails)
4. Quick & Easy Installation
Requires minimal tools—ground pegs are hammered in with a hammer drill and can be repositioned at 30°–60° angles if needed.
Hot-dip galvanized components ensure high corrosion resistance in harsh environments.
Modular substructure allows per-module mounting, reducing material use and improving efficiency.
Why This Matters for Small-Scale Solar?
The COMPACTGROUND GS 10 PLUS is ideal for:
✔ Agricultural PV (agrivoltaics)
✔ Brownfield & landfill solar projects
✔ Temporary or permanent installations on uneven terrain
✔ Projects requiring fast deployment with minimal foundation work
Aerocompact’s solution fills a gap in the market by providing a cost-effective, adaptable mounting system for smaller solar arrays where traditional ground mounts may be too complex or expensive.
