Chinese manufacturer SolarEast has introduced the QuietEdge R290 series , a new line of residential heat pumps designed for energy-efficient heating and cooling. These air-to-water heat pumps use propane (R290) as the refrigerant and are compatible with solar photovoltaic (PV) panels and battery storage systems, enabling users to achieve energy independence and reduce reliance on the grid. The series offers six models with heating capacities ranging from 4 kW to 16 kW and a high coefficient of performance (COP) of up to 5.05 . The systems also provide cooling capacities from 3.5 kW to 14 kW and feature an energy efficiency ratio (EER) of 3.10 . With modular design and ultra-quiet operation (as low as 35 decibels ), these heat pumps cater to modern homes, commercial spaces, and noise-sensitive environments.
